Purple vintage high-back armchair, Denmark, 1950s
Description
Purple vintage high-back armchair, Denmark, 1950s
A rare modernist wing chair manufactured in Denmark in the 1950s. It seamlessly combines classic aesthetics with functionality. The wide, contoured backrest enhances comfort. It is decorated with three buttons and an adjustable head cushion. The comfortable seat rests on thick springs that ensure excellent support. The armchair has been reupholstered in high-quality, heavy-weight fabric in bishop’s purple. The legs are made of oak in a dark brown finish. Visually light and striking in form, this armchair will complement a wide range of interiors. With a smile on our faces, we cannot help but think that even the Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland would not have turned down this chair!
The armchair is in very good vintage condition. The upholstery has been restored. The seat height is 43 cm.
The colours of products shown in photographs may differ slightly from the actual colours. This is due to individual monitor settings and the type of lighting—the photographs were taken in artificial light, which may affect the perception of shades. We nevertheless strive to ensure that the photographs reflect the product’s actual appearance as faithfully as possible. The listing may include photographs of the item in an interior. These are for illustrative purposes only.
