Pair of exotic wood chairs, Lübke, Germany, 1960s

A set of two wooden chairs with upholstered seats and backrests. Mid-century modern chairs from the German Lübke manufactory, dating from the 1960s. Exotic wood construction with yellow plush upholstery. An expressionist form that is impossible to overlook. High-quality furniture made with great attention to detail. They are very comfortable, and using them is a genuine pleasure.

The chairs have been reupholstered. The old covering has been replaced with a modern fabric with a rabbit-fur texture in an energising warm yellow colour. The plush fabric is unbelievably soft to the touch.
The wooden elements have been left in their original condition. They show minor signs of use consistent with their age, such as scratches and scuffs. Near the seat and backrest are faint traces of staples from previous restorations, visible only once the fur-like fabric is lifted.
They are in very good condition. Solid and stable. Ready to use.
