The iconic German furniture manufacturer Casala produced this chair in the 1960s. The chair was part of a set consisting of an armchair and a dining chair.

Its unusual construction is made entirely of solid beech wood painted ebony. The soft upholstered seat and backrest are made of durable natural linen fabric in mint green. The backrest is designed as a piece of fabric stretched with black cord between the chair legs, which extend upwards. This is a unique minimalist form. A very rarely seen chair.
