Pair of marble table lamps, Kámen Praha, 1930s.
A set of two lamps representing an example of Czechoslovak artistic craftsmanship from the Art Deco period. The lamps are made entirely of natural marble in a light cream colour with rich, golden-beige veining.
The structure of each lamp is based on a stable, flat, oval base. Set on it is a geometric, vertical rectangular-prism body with gently bevelled vertical edges, inside which a lampholder is concealed. A minimalist white push-button switch is integrated into the front part of the marble base.
During the interwar period, the Czechoslovak company Kámen Praha was known for the highest-quality stone decorative objects and luxury interior furnishings.
The items are in very good vintage condition, with natural, minimal signs of age on the stone surface.
The lamps bear the manufacturer’s markings.
The lamps are fully functional and ready for use.
