Wooden religious sculpture, Salvator Mundi – Saviour of the World, 18th century

I am offering an antique, hand-carved figure, most likely depicting Christ as Salvator Mundi (Saviour of the World).
The sculpture is made of solid wood (oak or ash) and retains traces of its original polychromy and natural patina. Visible are signs of centuries of use and minor damage – one hand is missing, there are signs of wear and minor damage to the base, all consistent with the object’s age. The figure
dates from the 18th century (stylistically associated with the late Baroque). An excellent addition to a collection of religious art or a historic interior.
