Balloon Armchair, designed by Lusch Erzeugnis, Lusch & Co., Germany, 1960s

An original Balloon Chair produced by the German manufacturer Lusch & Co. in the 1960s.
The design is attributed to Lusch Erzeugnis. The frame is made of metal, with upholstery in genuine leather (suede) in an earthy green colour.
The diagonally positioned seat allows for deep, comfortable seating. The chair has a lightweight form, the upholstery is laced, the colour is subdued, and the slender legs do not weigh down the geometric form.
This design is one of the most recognisable armchairs of the Mid-Century Modern era.

The armchair has been preserved in its original vintage condition. It has minor scratches on the metal parts, slight discolouration, scuffing and a delicate tear in the leather on the sides.
The seat is 38 cm high.
