Enamelware set, jug, sugar bowl and 2 cups, 1960s

Description

Original, complete set of vintage enamelware, comprising:
– a large jug with a lid,
– a sugar bowl with a lid,
– two cups with handles.

The set is made of enamelled steel in a characteristic dark brown colour, decorated with a floral pattern in white, red, green and yellow. The light brown rims and lid handles further emphasise the decorative character of the set.
The shape of the vessels, colour scheme and decoration are typical of European functional design from the 1960s.
Stylistically, the set relates to the Polish and Central European enamelware popular during this period.

The manufacturer has not been identified – no signature or manufacturer’s mark was found on any of the elements.
Due to the lack of signatures, the set is not attributed to a specific manufacturer.
Similar brown enamelware with floral decoration can be found among products by Huta Śląska in Rybnik; Polish origin is therefore possible, but in the case of this particular set it remains unconfirmed.

Condition: Good vintage condition, with visible natural signs of use and the passage of time.
The surface shows minor scuffs, signs of use and minor enamel imperfections characteristic of the item’s age.
