An impressive armchair with a headrest designed by Torbjørn Afdal and made in Norway by Bruksbo Nesjestranda Møbelfabrik. It dates from the 1960s. The armchair has an organic silhouette characteristic of Scandinavian designs from the Mid-Century Modern era. This is a rare model catalogued under the name Master. The wooden frame is made of solid elm. The upholstery is orange-coral in colour, with an intense hue that makes this armchair the focal point of an interior. Thanks to its raised, curved headrest, this type of armchair is known as a wing chair or wingback chair. It is one of the most comfortable types of armchair.
