Description

Set of four dining chairs manufactured in the 1960s by the Danish maker Sax Møbelfabrik. The chairs are made of oak in a natural, warm and sunny tone. The wood has a subtle, regular grain. The backrest is made of three flat elements forming a comfortable frame. The seats have been newly reupholstered in high-quality black vinyl. The chairs are comfortable and feature clean, classic lines, allowing them to complement a wide range of interiors. The original maker’s mark is located beneath the seat.

Sax Møbelfabrik was a highly regarded Danish manufacturer from the 1960s and an outstanding representative of the Danish Mid-Century Modern style. The company became known for producing ergonomic chairs and dining furniture. Its designs are characterised by Scandinavian minimalism, organic forms and the highest quality craftsmanship in teak, oak and rosewood.

The seat height is 44 cm.

The chairs are preserved in very good vintage condition. The upholstery has been restored.

The colours of products shown in the photographs may differ slightly from the actual colours. This is due to individual monitor settings and the type of lighting used—the photographs were taken in artificial light, which may affect how the shades are perceived. We nevertheless make every effort to ensure that the photographs reflect the product’s actual appearance as faithfully as possible. The listing may include photographs of the item shown in an interior setting. These are for illustrative purposes only.
