Victorian-style wicker armchair by Heywood-Wakefield, USA, 20th century

An original Victorian-style wicker armchair manufactured at the beginning of the 20th century by the American company Heywood-Wakefield. This is a very rare model. The armchair bears signs of age and use, including cracks in the wickerwork and missing elements, in particular the wrapping around the front leg and the scrolling trim at the top of the backrest. All defects are shown in the product photographs.

Despite its imperfections, this is a piece of furniture that makes a tremendous impression through its originality and uniqueness on a global scale, and will certainly be a fascinating addition to any room in which it is placed.
