Lars Sjöström is a Swedish surrealist artist born in 1942. He works within the realm of fantastic realism, alternating between cool and warm colours. At Salvador Dali’s school, Sjöström acquired many surrealist impulses that are reflected in his work. His works depict cosmic objects, globes, time machines, black holes and often-obscured portraits that are barely discernible when viewing cosmic events. His works are held in Småland Museum, Växjö, Västergötland Museum, Skara, Vänersborg Museum, Museo Maricel Sitges, the National Museum in Budapest, and Norton Museum Florida.
