Leather office armchair, Germany, 1960s

Swivel office armchair from the 1960s. The frame is made of metal. The chair is upholstered in soft genuine leather. It consists of three independent cushions. The headrest is fastened at the back with press studs using a leather tab. The armrests are also finished in leather. Judging by its craftsmanship, the piece may have been made in a small workshop as a one-off, made-to-order item. Its simple form, chromed base and elegant black colour make it representative of the minimalist movement in design.

The armchair is in original vintage condition. The structure is slightly and almost imperceptibly tilted to one side. It has a natural patina and age-related signs, including minor scuffs. The seat is 48 cm high.
