Scandinavian extendable table, Denmark, 60s/70s
Description
Scandinavian teak extendable table made in Denmark in the 1960s/70s.
The table features two cleverly concealed leaves stored beneath the tabletop, allowing it to comfortably seat 8 people.
This is a convenient solution, as no additional storage space is needed for the leaves.
When not extended, the table is compact and does not take up much space. All tabletops are finished in attractive figured teak veneer.
The entire piece has undergone a complete restoration: it was stripped of its old finishes, lightly tinted to even out the colour, and protected with water- and dirt-resistant hardwax oil.
Additional dimensions: Leaves 2 x 48.5 cm, meaning the table width is respectively 183 cm | 231.5 cm | Height from the floor to the frame: 64.5 cm.
