Description

Sofa, designed by Robert Slezak, model C10, Czechoslovakia, 1930s

A rare catalogue-model sofa in the Bauhaus style, produced in the 1930s by the highly regarded Czech company Robert Slezák. Model C10 is a distinctive sofa with a built-in side cabinet. The piece has undergone a full, professional restoration: the wooden elements have been thoroughly refinished in a warm, natural tone, while the chrome-plated steel frame is original and in very good condition—polished, with a subtle, authentic patina from the 1930s and no dents or damage. The new cushions are upholstered in a high-quality, pleasant-to-the-touch fabric blended with cotton, linen, and viscose, making it soft and natural to the touch, while draping well across the seat and offering excellent durability. The mattress support frame has also been restored and powder-coated.
