Wooden rocking armchair, Denmark, 1960s
A tall rocking armchair manufactured in Denmark in the 1960s. The frame is made of wood in a dark brown shade. The seat and backrest are upholstered in high-quality gabardine featuring a fashionable monstera leaf pattern. This densely woven, durable and water-resistant fabric is made from Egyptian cotton and was invented and patented by Thomas Burberry at the end of the 19th century. The armchair is very comfortable. It will work beautifully in a variety of interiors, while the botanical print directly references modern interior detailing.
The armchair is preserved in good vintage condition. It has minor signs of use consistent with its age. The upholstery is new. The seat height is 44 cm.
