Description

A unique, original educational model of an internal combustion engine manufactured in Poland by BIO-FIZ, dating from the 1970s.

The model was designed as a functional cutaway engine, allowing its basic mechanisms to be observed. Visible components include the piston, connecting rod, valves with springs, gears and drive system. Turning the mechanism makes it possible to observe how the individual components work together.

The model is preserved in very good original vintage condition, with natural signs of use and the passage of time. Its distinctive green base and original metal structural elements have been retained.

Technical condition: The model is in working order — the mechanism can be turned, and the movement of its individual components is visible and can be demonstrated. Due to the item’s age, it should be regarded primarily as an original educational aid and collector’s object, rather than a device intended for operating a real engine.

Manufacturer: BIO-FIZ, Poland
Country of origin: Poland, Polish People’s Republic
Date: c. 1970–1980
Type: educational model / teaching aid – internal combustion engine cutaway

Thanks to its large size, visible mechanical components and functional construction, it is both an intriguing collector’s object and a distinctive addition to an industrial interior.
