Pair of Safari director’s chairs, Scandinavia, 1960s
A set of two director’s chairs produced in Scandinavia in the 1960s. This type of folding chair is often referred to as a Safari chair. Made of solid beech wood, valued for its durability, uniform grain and warm honey tone. The seat and backrest are made of high-quality canvas, providing a counterpoint to the wood. Soft yet resistant to abrasion and stretching. Natural simplicity at its finest, combining classic design with practical functionality. Thanks to its folding construction, the chair is equally well suited to a terrace, garden or home interior.
The chairs are in original vintage condition. They show minor age-related marks and areas of wear. The seat height is 42 cm. When folded, each chair is 12 cm wide.
