Vintage veneered sideboard, Poland, 1950s
Description
Two-door sideboard from Poland, dating from the 1950s, finished in walnut veneer with a beautiful, natural grain pattern. Its simple, elegant form is paired with a geometric pattern on the fronts, inspired by the aesthetics of Op Art. The contrast of black, white and the natural colour of walnut gives the piece a bold, graphic character.
The sideboard stands on distinctive geometric legs that emphasise its horizontal form. The spacious interior is divided by a movable wooden shelf, providing convenient storage space. A decorative chrome handle completes the piece, adding a subtle accent against the geometric composition.
Fine walnut wood, a restrained form and a striking decorative front create a harmonious combination of classicism and a more expressive aesthetic. The piece will work equally well in vintage and mid-century modern interiors, as well as in contemporary, eclectic arrangements.
