Wool sofa, designed by Folke Ohlsson, Denmark, 1950s/60s
Description
Wool sofa, designed by Folke Ohlsson, Denmark, 1950s/60s
Three-seater wool sofa designed by Swedish designer Folke Ohlsson for Danish manufacturer Fritz Hansen in the 1950s/60s. Built on beautifully preserved original springs. The upholstery in a fine dark-blue weave has been left in its original condition, as it is in very good condition. It has minor signs of use, but considering its age, it is almost as if it had none at all. A simple form with interesting details, set on beech legs stained walnut. The sofa is comfortable and looks beautiful. The upholstery has been professionally cleaned, while the legs, following complete restoration, were stained to resemble walnut wood and newly protected with a hard oil-wax finish resistant to dirt and water.
Additional dimensions: Seat: Width 162 cm | Depth 51 cm | Armrest height 50.5 cm.
