Figural Bronze Corkscrew, Denmark, 1960s

Description

An original Danish collectible corkscrew made by Argentor Bronze in the 1960s and 1970s. The model depicts a stylized reclining bull and is an excellent example of Scandinavian utilitarian design from the Mid-Century Modern period.

This example bears the marks ARGENTOR BRONZE, ÆGTE FORGYLDT (genuine gilding), and the Eneret mark. The body is made of solid cast bronze covered with a layer of gold, while the spiral is made of hardened steel. The piece is not only a fully functional corkscrew but also an eye-catching decoration for a bar, study, or collection of barware accessories.

In very good condition for its age. It displays a natural patina and minor signs of use consistent with its age. The mechanism works properly.
