Modernist Leather Wing Chair, Denmark, 1960s

A classic modernist wing chair manufactured in Denmark in the 1960s. Entirely upholstered in genuine leather in a bitter chocolate colour. The chair’s construction is based on simple lines, visible at the front. The side frame flows harmoniously into solid armrests. The high, contoured back provides comfort during use. The backrest consists of two loose, comfortable cushions. The base comprises sturdy legs made of solid wood. A timeless appearance, high-quality workmanship and considered design are the hallmarks of Danish modernism. These features make the chair equally at home in a study or living room. Visually, the chair references Børge Mogensen’s iconic 1963 design.

The chair has been preserved in its original vintage condition. It has minor signs of use related to its age. The seat is 43 cm high.
