Kristin Dorfhuber was born in 1944 in Potsdam, Germany. She is a painter and sculptor. She graduated from Alfred Darda’s painting school in Munich. She worked for the sculptor Justus Chrukin. At the end of the 1980s, she completed an art therapy internship. Her work has been exhibited in Germany, Sweden, France, Canada, and Switzerland. Dorfhuber calls her art abstract realism because in her work there is no colour, shape, or structure that does not exist in nature. The combination of feelings, intuition, intellect, fantasy, and ability gives my art a distinctive expression. My works are like a personal, binding language to me says the artist.
