Waldemar Lorentzon was born in 1899 and died in 1984. He was a Swedish artist. His paintings were exhibited exclusively in Sweden, and the only exhibition took place at Mjellby Konstmuseum in Halmstad. Works by Waldemar Lorentzon are held in two museum collections: the Ateneum Art Museum – the Finnish National Gallery in Helsinki – and Mjellby Konstmuseum in Halmstad. He belonged to Halmstadgruppen, a group of avant-garde artists in Halmstad, Halland County, Sweden. They created a permanent showroom in Mjellby, now Mjellby Art Museum in Halmstad. A rich collection of the Halmstad group’s works is exhibited here.
