Handwoven Bokhara Oriental rug made in Pakistan in the 1960s. Traditionally flat-woven, with the addition of cashmere, and dyed in shades of rustic red and ivory. The dyes are obtained from natural materials. Repeated geometric patterns form the central field of this symmetrically woven rug.

Bokhara rugs are a traditional type of rug with a distinctive pattern and provenance, originating in the regions of present-day Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
