Description

Modernist sideboard made in Scandinavia in the 1960s. It is crafted from oak, a wood often regarded as royal. This is a very strong and durable material characterised by rich grain. Oak is resistant to scratches and damage, and gains an increasingly noble appearance with age. This sideboard has been finished in a dark, tonally varied colour. Ranging from brownish brown to an intense dark brown that, depending on the angle of the light, may appear black. The strong, patterned grain runs through it harmoniously, creating a unique visual effect.

The minimalist design is complemented by functionality. The front consists of a pair of sliding doors. Inside, there is one shelf and an open storage space. The original geometric handles are made of wood complemented by a metal sphere, while the elegant wooden legs harmonise perfectly with the cabinet.

The piece’s multifaceted design, the materials used, its distinctive colour and meticulous craftsmanship make it a truly fascinating object that will work well in a variety of interiors.

The sideboard has been restored and is in very good vintage condition.
